I light this candle in honor of the Darkness which is all around us. Either as Blessing or Curse, Darkness exists. So, too, does Light.
Each Ancestor is a Light in the Darkness which begins with the Original Ice and Fire of Creation meeting across Ginnungagap and reaches to where I now stand.
Hail to the Darkness as comfort and friend.
Hail to the Light of Family without end.
Hail to the Holiday of Light which the Midgard-bound will celebrate as Yule-Tide washes over us.
Hail to the Yule-Tide Traditions which each Light added to our Family as their candle's flame lit the candles held by the Next Generation.
