Surt and Healing

My initial interactions with Surt came as something of a surprise. I'd never considered calling upon Him before and certainly hadn't sought Him out, though I bore Him no ill will. I simply hadn't made His acquaintance. So a few months ago, I was doing a healing on a friend of mine and she asked for a Reiki session. I don't generally like to do Reiki but i can, and have the third degree attunement. So I've got my hands on her hip, she's in serious pain and suddenly Surt shows up and asks me "Do you want some help?"
He was friendly, outgoing and asked for nothing in return for his aid. I was surprised but agreed. My patient told me later, after the session, that she'd never had a reiki session in which the healer's hands got so incredibly (yet not painfully) HOT and that it eased her pain almost immediately. I told her precisely Who she had to thank for that. Since that time, Surt has offered His aid in several healings and I've developed a pretty good friendship with Him. With me, He's forthright and down to earth and has been teaching me how to control my own internal energies better.
He seems to appreciate the Jotun part of me, the rage‑beast that I keep strongly locked away. He is teaching me different ways to communicate with fire etins, and He appreciates my dance background (I was a dancer for 13 years). He's been showing me things about the interrelation of energy and rhythm, heat and movement that in the end, have been helping me recover from a nasty 2-year bout with elfshot (even though it's removed now, my energy patterns were shot and needed much healing). He's even offered me hospitality in Muspellheim. I half think that His initial overtures toward me had much to do with my friendship with His foster‑son Loki.
